html buddy ("we", "us") is a platform for sharing interactive HTML pages, including pages generated with help from large language models. By using html buddy, you ("you") agree to these terms.

What you can do here

You can upload single-file HTML pages and share them at a public URL. You can follow other authors, like and comment on pages, and report pages you believe violate our Community Guidelines.

Your content

You retain ownership of the HTML pages you upload. By uploading, you grant html buddy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host the page, render it in a sandboxed iframe, screenshot it for thumbnails, process it through automated and human moderation, and display it on the platform. This license ends when you delete the page (or your account), except for backups retained for a reasonable period and copies retained for legal compliance.

You represent that you have the right to upload everything in your pages, including any third-party libraries, fonts, images, or code those pages reference.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload content that violates our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or third-party rights. We may limit, quarantine, or remove pages at our discretion, and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these terms.

Moderation

Uploaded pages are processed by an automated moderation classifier (currently Anthropic Claude Haiku) plus user reporting. Moderation is best-effort and not guaranteed. The classifier may flag content incorrectly; you can appeal a quarantine decision from your profile.

Accounts

Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our identity provider. You are responsible for the security of the account you use to sign in. You must be at least 13 years old to use html buddy. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we will remove it.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

No warranty

html buddy is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uptime, data preservation, or the accuracy of moderation decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, html buddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of html buddy after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
